Cover Kansas Coalition

What is the Cover Kansas Coalition?

The Cover Kansas Coalition is a statewide group of community partners whose mission is to build awareness, facilitate enrollment, and promote health insurance literacy through collaboration, education, and engagement in an effort to reduce the rate of uninsured in Kansas.

Why the Need for the Cover Kansas Coalition?

Many Kansans are unaware of or misinformed about the Affordable Care Act and the Health Insurance Marketplace.

Many Kansans are unsure about the enrollment process or the fact that Enrollment assistance is available.

Many Kansans feel they can't afford or do not need health insurance at this time, and they may be unaware of tax credits that may be available

Now more than ever, a strong coaltion of organizations must be recruited and engaged in helping enrollment assisters reach those who remain uninsured.

Why Should I join the Cover Kansas Coalition?

  • To connect and collaborate with other organizations across the state in order to maximize impact in your community.
  • To access tools to provide clients and consumers with accurate and unbiased information about the Health Insurance Marketplace and to direct them to enrollment assistance.
  • To increase resources and to help support a targeted approach for outreach and enrollment efforts.
  • To help Navigators and other assisters reach those who remain uninsured.

Who Should Join the Cover Kansas Coalition?

Anyone with a desire to share Health Insurance Marketplace information with clients, stakeholders, and the community in an effort to support the work of the Cover Kansas Navigator Project, as well as other assisters across the state.
